This is how it all started…

I track my writing journey from my mundane high school days. I did not care for the core classes so I signed up for multiple art classes. Math was monkey-see, monkey-do. History was boring. Science was impossible. But English had my respect. I appreciated the need to communicate clearly and effectively even though I did not enjoy the writing assignments. However, I did find a place of escape writing my experiences either through poem or lyrics. I remember having two large golden spiral notebooks that had beautiful covers that I filled up with all the thoughts that run through a teenage girl’s mind. Some point before graduation I realized those notebooks were no longer life-giving so I ultimately threw them away. Fast forward ten years later to an intimate church setting, I received my first prophetic word to write. Fast forward seven years later to today October 2024, this blog went live.
